True to form the masterminds behind the decks put on quite the show, with a line-up featuring; Sam Divine, Roger Sanchez, Amine Edge & Dance, Jacky, Josh Butler & a whole host more. Motion’s vast outdoor space was maximised to a T and the addition of a stage in the courtyard made for some serious festival vibes (although unlike most festivals, the weather turned up for the event).
Warming up for Mr Sanchez is no mean feat, but Jacky cemented himself up there with the best of them during a 2 hour day stint. Northerner Jacky has exploded onto the scene recently, appearing on world class line-ups here, there and everywhere. He’s most recently been announced as one of the acts on the infamous WHP opening party, and will no doubt return to Motion again in the not too distant future…
Roger Sanchez dominated an unprecedented 3 hour set in the day, (he wasn’t scheduled until 10pm) during which he proved exactly why his veteran status has been achieved – take a look here if you need further proof. The unbelievable skill he displayed when operating the decks had the crowds and fellow DJ’s falling at his feet, his style almost reminiscent of a house-esque DJ EZ.
As the day began to wind down, the crowds milled inside where Josh Butler occupied the main room followed shortly by Sam Devine. As 4am flew around, Amine Edge & Dance drew the event to a close.
