Posted by - August 5, 2016 - Events, Preview

After teasing us with a taster of what to expect following release of the opening party line-ups, Motion has finally announced its full listings for 2016/17, but with pre-sale tickets already on sale, if you want to get involved – you’d better get your skates on (see what we did there…)

The opening weekend on September 31st sees Bristol newcomer Joseph Capriati in the mix with Eats Everything, Kölsch , Craig Richards, B Traits, Horse Meat Disco, and a couple of secret guests. Saturday welcomes Roni Size, Congo Natty, Oneman, P Money, Jammz & Jack Dat to name only a handful of the full line up. Full opening party line-ups here.

The rest of the season sees the usual suspects Dusky, Beyer, Joy O etc. pitch up alongside some Motion first-timers, as a selection of the industry greats make their Bristol debut. Expect to see appearances from Laurent Garnier, DJTennisKölsch , Joris Voorn, Autechre  and many, many more.

Back by popular demand, the infamous Just Jack, Hospitality and Hot Creations events make their annual homage to the skate park. Arguably one of the strongest Hospitality line-ups released this year featuring Netsky, Fred V & Grafix, Danny Byrd, SPY, Dillinja, Etherwood, Krakota to name a few. Bristol residents Eats Everything and Waifs & Strays head up Hot Creations alongside Russ Yallop and Richy Ahmed – you know it’s gonna be a big one! Follow the links for line-up details.

Making their Motion debut, legacy Ibiza nights Cream and ANTS have made it onto the 2016 listing. Cream serves up some classic Ibiza trance vibes with the help of Paul Van Dyk and Ben Nicky, while ANTS serves up a dose of techno welcoming Joris Voorn, DJTennis, and Andrea Oliva to the decks. Drumcode is another new addition to Motion’s event landscape, supported by Adam Beyer, Alan Fitzpatrick, Dense and Pika and Ida Engberg.
